What does it take to keep an animal alive in some parts of the world? Why does a woman need to carry around an ak-47 at all times? What is our connection and responsibility to the natural world and the creatures that walk on it? These questions were all in my mind as I began to document wildlife in Zambia and Botswana in 2022.
