Javier’s Story:

Javier Calleja came to Harrisonburg at 18 with nothing. He was living on the streets, under porches and eating from dumpsters. He got a job as a janitor at JMU and at McDonalds. He is now a professor at JMU has multiple homes and happy family. The images below retrace his steps through Harrisonburg.
